The tapered needle tip opens and closes the paint flow inside the nozzle by moving the operating lever back and forth. If you want to convert your spray gun to the Medium nozzle size, please replace the nozzle (Art. No. 38053), needle and spray jet regulator (Art. No. 38043) together.
