Civilian aircraft: Immerse yourself in the world of aviation with Revell Modellbau
Flying has always fascinated people: rising into the air, experiencing the world from a bird's eye view, overcoming long distances in a short time. Many hurdles had to be overcome before this dream could finally come true - and the achievements of engineers and technicians in the development and production of civil aircraft are still impressive today. Many important stages that were covered on the way to modern passenger aircraft can be vividly traced using the Revell models. Plastic model making is therefore not only fun to do handicrafts, but also documents an important part of aviation history.
build up a collection step by step
Revell's product range offers unique aircraft types that play or have played a key role in civil aviation. The product range extends from the two-seater glider to the jumbo jet, as the Boeing 747 is colloquially called. Until 2005, the Boeing 747 was the largest commercial aircraft in the world. The Jumbo is represented several times in the range of plastic model kits: Hobbyists have the choice between models of the Boeing 747-200 in scale 1:450 or 1:390 and the completely newly developed Boeing 747-8. All three kits have one thing in common: they reproduce the originals exactly. The surfaces are designed so finely that the recessed sheet metal joints can be seen. Chassis, brake discs, position lights, landing lights, the APU outlet tube at the rear and other components are exactly reproduced.
The Concorde is also legendary. The model of the British-French supersonic airliner must not be missing in any collection. Another important milestone is the development of the Airbus A380. With this type, an aircraft with a continuous double deck was presented for the first time in 2005. Every detail is depicted exactly on a scale of 1:144. The rims of the 22 wheels, filigree suspension struts and struts as well as a decal with the new Airbus decor please the viewer.
The DH C-6 Twin Otter is unique in many ways. This versatile aircraft is used in both civil and military applications. It offers optimal conditions for use as a transport, rescue or reconnaissance aircraft. The shoulderdecker with adjustable propellers is able to take off and land on short runways. Hobbyists have the choice of equipping their DH C-6 Twin Otter with landing gear, floating pods or ski runners.
Beginners or experienced hobbyists? Revell has the right challenge for everyone
Revell makes it easy for hobbyists or parents who want to give away model kits to young model makers. Each description includes a level between 1 and 5. The higher the number, the trickier the kit is. The level 5 is challenging even for experienced model builders. Additionally an age recommendation helps with the selection.
Tip: Order high-quality accessories at the same time!
Good tools, high quality glue and the right colours are important prerequisites to finish the model perfectly. If you want to start directly with model building, it is best to think about the right accessories when ordering. Tweezers, precision pliers, brushes or mixing cups for colours - in the Revell online shop the demanding hobbyist will find everything he needs for his creative leisure activities.
