Impressive vehicles of military history

World War II brought new doctrines in motorized warfare. For the first time, the focus was on the concentrated use of tanks and mobile infantry. The model kits from Revell offer an insight into this historically multifaceted epoch. In four different scales, collections can be expanded to include true-to-the-original military and civilian vehicles. But also on its own, each detailed kit offers an impressive sight and many hours of building and painting fun.

Models for large battlefields or close-ups

The different scales allow historically authentic model building on different scales. Depending on the hobbyist's interests, extensive tank battles on a scale of 1:144 or 1:72 can be presented holistically. The aim can also be to depict a certain combat unit such as the notorious 7th Panzer Division or the Afrika Korps in a complete and historically correct way. Especially the large supply of German tanks makes such a project easier. If individual scenes or special details are to be focused, the 1:32 scale is suitable. The size and impressive level of detail of the miniatures allow the technical story of individual armored vehicles to be told. This order of magnitude can also be convincing for exhibits. With an average of over 200 individual parts, the high level of detail is guaranteed. From the hull to the tracks, risers and towing hooks to the hatch of the turret, every part of the tank is accurately replicated from its historical model. Even the commander's cufflinks can be highlighted.

Numerous tanks and support vehicles

With the TIGER and the PANTHER , Revell offers miniatures of the two most famous German tanks of the Second World War. Their structure and silhouette had a lasting influence on the appearance of later tanks and come closest to what corresponds to today's ideas of a main battle tank. With a rotating turret and faithful replicas of the 7.6 and 8.8 combat vehicle guns, the steel colossi can be brought to life. Meanwhile, the tank destroyer ELEFANT shows the 8.8 embedded in its angular hull. The model kit of the Panzerkampfwagen II deals with a combat vehicle from the early phase of the Second World War in a historically authentic way. No less detailed, the model shows that the support of the infantry was still in the foreground here. The Red Army T34 kit offers insights into one of the most effective Russian tanks of the entire war. But motorized vehicles were also used behind the front. Revell's kits for the Kadett K38 Sal, the M34 Tactical Truck or the Type 82 Kübelwagen enable detailed representations of supply lines and troop transports.

Assembly and painting made easy

For the assembly and painting of the model kits from Revell, the plastic glue Contacta Professional and the paint range from Revell are recommended. The colour recommendations can be read directly in the product information. Especially when painting vehicles, the use of an airbrush is also a good idea. Large areas and camouflage patterns are particularly easy to apply. In the Revell model shop, both high-quality airbrush spray guns and associated compressors can be ordered. For authentic post-processing of the models, rust and dirt effects can be created with the Weathering Set from Revell. Model tanks and vehicles are realistically designed according to the conditions of the time.
