Spray Color - quickly and easily applied
For many decades, model making has fascinated not only children and adolescents, but also many adults. The painting and colouring of their models is particularly popular with hobby craftsmen of all kinds. The colouring of the individual components of a Revell kit is at least as important as the precise gluing together of the filigree parts, as all experienced model builders know. For this reason, the US company offers several different methods for coloring its models. A particularly efficient and simple method is Revell Modellbau Spray Color. The acrylic paint from the 100-milliliter can is the first choice of many enthusiastic young engineers for uniform priming and large-area paint application. In the twinkling of an eye, Spray Color can be used to accurately colour entire models or individual parts. This is the great advantage over brushes, which can hardly achieve such an even result on large surfaces.
Wide choice of colours for every craft project
Spray Color from Revell not only convinces with its easy handling, but also with its impressive color selection. The acrylic paint is available in a total of 32 different shades, so each basic shade is represented in several gradations. However, not only the colour but also the so-called finishing is different: model builders can choose between a matt, silk matt, glossy or metallic surface effect. This wide range of colours ensures that the models are designed to be true to the original and realistic, which additionally increases the fun of tinkering, handicrafts and gluing.
How is the paint applied?
The application of Spray Color is very simple. Before application, shake the spray can vigorously for about one minute to mix the contents as well as possible. The modeler then applies the paint from a distance of around 20 to 30 centimetres. It is advisable to keep the distance so that the spray paint is not sprayed on too thickly. After the first coat of paint has been applied, the whole thing dries thoroughly. Finally, repeat the process two or three times until the desired opacity is achieved. It is particularly important to clean the can thoroughly after each spraying process so that no paint residue accumulates, it sticks together and ensures an inaccurate application of paint.
Beyond that it does not need any further accessories, in order to color the desired building project, whereby the spray can represents an adequate alternative to the Airbrush procedure.
However, due to their high flammability, children and adolescents should only use the doses under adult supervision.

Revell Modellbau Spray Color offers ambitious model builders numerous advantages. The product scores with a very short drying time, excellent scratch resistance and particularly high opacity. The easy handling and the efficient application are also impressive. The paint is suitable for varnishing a wide variety of surfaces. From plastic, wood, metal and ceramics to polycarbonate, nothing stands in the way of spraying pleasure. Therefore, Spray Color can even be used to paint polycarbonate bodies from the Revell Control Cars series.
