New in 2012: Exciting Free Time Activities Guaranteed

After a successful year 2011, we continue along the trail we have blazed this year as well. Specifically, this means that you can look forward to a number of exciting new developments in the areas of plastic model building, RC and Orbis. After a numerous successful years with the Revell Control brand, we will be presenting two new RC brands at the Nuremberg Toy Fair.

Out-of-this-world easykits
The Star Wars theme is the highlight for 2012 in model building. The Sith Infiltrator, Anakin's Podracer and three new “easykit pockets” are five spectacular new items landing on the  easykit planet. This year, everyone will be talking about these starfighters, since on February 9, "Episode I – The Phantom Menace" returns to theaters.

New plastic model kits featuring a love of detail
With around 80 new items, modellers can again look forward to plenty of new challenges this year. Here is an overview of these outstanding new products which are all completely new developments:

Legendary military machines and modern passenger aircraft will be our focus in 2012. The new Boeing 747-8I, which will be delivered this year, is the longest passenger aircraft in the world at 76.4 metres. The famed Heinkel He 219 was one of the most effective fighter planes of the German Luftwaffe in War II. It was used especially during night raids. The legendary Messerschmidt BF 109G-6 is one of the most famous aircraft in aerospace history. A highlight in our ships segment is the ever-popular Titanic. The day the world's most famous passenger ship sank is approaching its 100th anniversary. The U.S.S. Nimitz, the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier of the U.S. Armed Forces, joins our series world famous collection of ships as an attractive 1:1200 scale model.

Milestones in automobile history and super sports cars are in the limelights of our cars segment. The model of the successful Mini Cooper Mk I continues our series of legendary classic cars. The Ferraris Aperta and 599 GTO are attractive to both experienced model builders and automobile enthusiasts. The Aperta is a must for modellers and every fan of this speedy sports car as a result of its thrilling design.

The world's most modern weapon technology is presented with the Leopard 2 and SPZ Puma.

A new kind of revolution
With Revellutions, we present an RC car concept that is a new kind of revolution. This highly professional special vehicle development for 8 to 12 year-old boys has a cool design and extraordinary features that clearly separate it from the competition. It includes 2.4 GHz technology and high-quality lithium polymer batteries in a plugless hardcase, including a desktop charging device. The electronics are protected especially against dust and splashing water. Changing tires is wonderfully simple and can be done without the need for any tools. All vehicles also feature complete suspension. Sales begin in May/June 2012, and Revellutions will initially include buggies, two monster trucks and one luxury car, all at a scale of 1:14. In the 4th quarter, two more buggies, monster trucks and two muscle cars at a scale of 1:18 will follow.

New brands for the RC model building market
With tecZone Revell will, for the first time, present an RC range at the toy fair that is clearly designed for the hobby segment. These products will be sown in hall 7a and at the Revell stand in hall 12.2. Revell tecZone involves exclusive unique developments. The whole series of cars, ships and aircraft are equipped with 2.4 GHz technology.

Revell Control – the success brand
The new helicopters offer features that are especially exciting to younger RC fans. The RotoBot GSY/RTF/3CH/GHz control helicopter allows the pilot to switch from normal joystick control to motion control, which enables remote control purely via tilting motions. The LightFight GSY/RTF/3+2 CH/IR helicopter features a special infrared target that is able to shoot at the kit's included illuminated ground targets. The MyFly GSY/RTF/3CH+1/GHz smartphone helicopter is one of the highlights of the new range, since it can be controlled not only by iPhones, but also by Android handsets. The special attraction of the Moovee GSY/RTF/3+4CH/IR video helicopter is the video and photo camera that may be controlled via the remote control unit. Based on the great success of the Outspeeder, we will be presenting three new versions of this MHz buggy in new colours and different frequencies.

Orbis – now even for textiles
After the introduction of the Orbis airbrush system for children in autumn 2011, we extend the range with fabric paints and sets for lighter fabrics. The highlight for young designers is the fabric designer set, which will be available starting September. At the end of February, new stencils and tattoo sets from the Star Wars and Monster High top licenses will also be available.

Leonardo da Vinci: a genius military engineer
As an engineer, Leonardo was a pioneer who was far ahead of his time. His goal was to create machines capable of doing work for people and to develop more powerful defensive weapons. In 2012, we are expanding our series of sophisticated wooden kits from the Universal Genius with models of his battle tank and a multiple cannon unit.

We will present many of these new developments from February 1 to 6 at the 63rd International Toy Fair 2012 in the halls of Nuremberg's trade fair center. For the first time, we will not only be present in Hall 12.2 with our complete range of new products, but also in Hall 7a with Revell tecZone. If you would like to inform yourself about our new items beforehand, this is a good opportunity: visit our trade fair special at www.revell.de. Beginning February 1, you can use our webcam to experience a virtual tour of our stand in Hall 12.2 (Hall 7a/D-138). You can also expect plenty of interesting information and an exciting raffle on this site.

In the course of the year, these new products will be presented to a broader audience at the national trade fairs and shows in Leipzig, Friedrichshafen, Dortmund and others.
